We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a US-based technology company that develops a cloud-native SaaS platform for the insurance industry.

In this role, you will work on the design, development, and evolution of core backend services and APIs that support critical business operations. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions in a modern cloud environment.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building high-quality software, and working autonomously within distributed international teams.

This is a fully remote, long-term contractor position paid in USD.

Requisitos

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (required)
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development
• Professional experience with Python or strong backend development experience with interest in working primarily with Python
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Familiarity with Django or another modern Python framework
• Experience working on SaaS products or cloud-based applications
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment

• Experience with React or Vue.js
